Designer Overview

Introduction

Designer is a versatile tool developed by Dhiway, designed to empower users in creating unique templates for various applications. This document offers an overview of its capabilities, focusing on its key features and functionality.

Features

Designer offers a wide range of features, making it a powerful tool for template creation:

  1. Multipage Support: With Designer, you can create templates with multiple pages, allowing for complex and dynamic layouts.

  2. Hashmark Editing: It provides the ability to create and edit hashmarks, enhancing your templates with interactive elements.

  3. SVG Editing: Designer enables seamless editing of Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG), giving you control over vector-based graphics.

Exploring Designer

In this section, we will delve into the various functionalities Designer has to offer, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of how to create, customize, and optimize templates. Upon clicking on either the “Create New” card or an existing template card, the following actions will be triggered.

Creating New Templates

The “Start Fresh Design” modal comprises two tabs: “Recent Backgrounds” and “Start Fresh Design.” Let’s explore each tab:

  • Your Backgrounds: Access your own uploaded background images.
  • Explore Backgrounds: Explore a curated selection of backgrounds.

Clicking on a background image takes you to the “Start Fresh Design” screen with the selected background applied.

This tab consists of:

  • Left Section: Select page size (A4, A3, etc.) and customize the design shape.
  • Right Section: Upload custom PNG or JPEG backgrounds.

To begin designing, choose the size and background (if needed) and click “Let’s Start Designing.” Click “Cancel” to exit.

Editing Existing Templates

For templates created with the “Template Designer” or “Designer” tool, clicking the card redirects users to the Designer screen. This interface provides access to a wide array of features and functionalities.

The system intelligently adapts to the template’s origin and the user’s action (create new or access existing) to ensure seamless transitions, enabling efficient template design and modification.
